A record 21 new members joined SSGS in August 2009. Motivated by this, GC decided to, from now on, welcome new members with a lunch. Principally, the objective is to welcome them and to meet the Patron, President and GC Members.
The first lunch to welcome new members was held at Ah Yat Seafood Restaurant at Turf City on Wednesday 16, September 2009.
Patron Abraham Loh and President Toh attended the lunch. In his welcoming address, the President said that 16 September 2009 was an auspicious day for three reasons:-
1. SSGS welcomed the 21 new members and thanked them for setting a record
